Chair Report

The key barometer for me that we are delivering what matters is what we hear and what we see from our patients day in day out

From our Chair, Peter

2023/24 has seen Accelerate remain a leading force in wound and lymphoedema care, with a growing reputation locally, nationally, and internationally. This reputation is built on the exceptional, personalised care, education, and research that our dedicated membership team delivers to patients and customers.

It’s clear that we’re delivering what matters – for both our patients and the learners in our Academy.

The demand for our services continues to grow, and working closely with commissioners and providers to create successful partnerships is essential to what we do, both in North East London and beyond.

Accelerate

The work of the Accelerate Board goes beyond governance and finances. We focus on a collaborative and learning approach, ensuring members are at the centre of the conversation, while listening to and learning from our patients. Since becoming Chair in February 2023, I’ve really enjoyed the chance to connect with staff and hear firsthand from patients. Our Annual General Meeting Open Day was another great opportunity for that.

Accelerate is well-positioned to lead the transformation we want to see in wound and lymphoedema care, and we’ll keep working closely with our team and patients to make it happen.
