Voices that matter: empowering our members

Membership gives us the power to shape Accelerate’s future. We’re a community driven by collaboration, always focused on improving lives and delivering what matters most. Our Membership Council, made up of colleagues from both business and clinical teams, brings strength through shared understanding and purpose.

A Growing Voice

With representation directly on the Board, our voice has grown, and this year, we’ve welcomed three new members. The Council’s collaborative approach has allowed us to influence key discussions on pay, benefits, sick leave, and life insurance. We also played a significant role in shaping the Staff Survey and guiding the feedback process.

Our members have also had several opportunities to connect and collaborate this year, making a real difference:

• June 13, 2023
  Partnered with Bikeworks for an event at the Velodrome to promote Legs Matter 2023
• January 29, 2024
  An all staff development day, themed ‘One team, one voice’ to strategise and prioritise key areas
• April 25, July 12 and November 9, 2023
  Hosted all staff informal lunches to foster community and open dialogue
• February 2024
  Membership Council representatives joined the Board Development Day, focusing on strategic developments
