COURSE ATTENDEES MUST BE PROFESSIONAL REGISTRANTS OF THE NMC OR EQUIVALENT, SUCH AS REGISTERED NURSES OR NURSING ASSOCIATES AND ALREADY CONFIDENT AND COMPETENT IN LOWER LIMB MANAGEMENT INCLUDING DOPPLER ASSESSMENT
- Develop an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, chronic oedema and lymphovenous disease
- Increase knowledge about primary, secondary and chronic oedema, the differences, and similarities
- Understand more about the use of compression therapy in complex patients
- Explore the evidence base for different treatment modalities such as compression bandaging and hosiery
- Develop practical skills and confidence in using these treatment modalities
